手をわたる紙　動き出す本Papers passed into your hands, books started moving

このプロジェクトは、杉山双葉・神谷萌稲による共同プロジェクトです。

自分たちの世界の断片を誰かの手に届け、自分では想像の及ばないところのある世界、人々の生活とのつながりを持ちたいという思いから始まりました。

私たちは個人的な出版物を作成し、それを数人にポストカードと共に送り、その後本を読んだ後に次の人に渡すようお願いしました。その後、私たちはそれらの郵便物を受け取った方々からメッセージの書かれたポストカードを受け取りました。

最後のステップとして、私たちの制作活動全体と、このプロジェクトを通じて築かれたコミュニケーションの在り方や軌跡を記録する本を制作し、展覧会を開催しました。

This project is a collaborative project by Futaba Sugiyama and Moene Kamiya.

It began with a desire to send fragments of our world into the hands of others, and to create connections with worlds beyond what we could imagine for ourselves—with the lives and experiences of people we might otherwise never encounter.

We created a personal publication and sent it to several people, together with a postcard. We asked each recipient to pass the book on to someone else after reading it. In return, we received postcards from the people who received the books, each carrying a message from them.

As the final step of the project, we created a book documenting our creative process as a whole, as well as the forms of communication and the paths of connection that emerged through the project. We also held an exhibition to present the project and its traces.
